I don’t think most white women are making active efforts to change the system though… most white women literally voted for Trump this past election. Why should I care about what happens to people who support the status quo societal order of colonialism and slavery. It’s not my responsibility to help them.
When did I say it was? I’m saying segregation still existed. White people still got better jobs, were arrested less, were allowed to live in nicer communities, were given better education, were free from racial prejudice from people in power, etc. stop coping and hating on poor and colored people and just accept that people are still racist.
Love how I never said racism ended but since ur to narrow minded to look past your assumptions and look at the facts I rly don’t feel like entertaining your stupidity. And just so you’re not confused in the future there are plenty of white ppl who are victims of racism too so idk why you are sitting so high and mighty on your throne of lies like you proved something to me
Racial demographics aren’t the same across ages like you are implying. Older people are whiter and younger people are less white, due to birth rates (and immigration rates) differing across races. This is pretty commonly known so not sure why the critical thinking skills are missing.
Women of color might disagree with that statement. I can’t speak for them, but I have listened to Black women talk about Black men exhibiting some of the same oppressive behavior as white men. My journey of learning about all this has slowly led me to believe that we should all put women of color first, as well as trans and nonbinary people of color. Dealing with one form of bigotry is no excuse to enact another, but people who experience all of it don’t really have that option anyway.
Yeah… white women have a lot of issues. Men of all races often behave like entitled shitbags. Women of color have been carrying all of us for a long time. Putting up with white women’s racism, white men’s entitlement, men of color’s violence directed at women of color, everyone’s shit. All while doing a lot of the essential work to actually make the world a better place. Heroes come in all forms, but I think a disproportionate amount are women of color. And everyone else needs to be better.
After the importation of enslaved people was banned in the US, white enslavers exclusively resorted to farming humans to get more workers. Sometimes they had only a mother and her son, and they forced them into incest so that they could get more money. White planners intentionally had roads cut through communities of color to destroy what little they could build after having generations of endless labor stolen from them.
Black people built most of the wealth that white Southerners gained during slavery times and received none of it. They had nothing to give their children because their work, their time, the wealth that they generated with their hands was stolen from them. It still has not been paid back. We still have people who have been trapped in poverty for generations, all because no one paid them what was rightfully theirs.
It is true that not all white people benefit directly from the stolen wealth. Many people considered white today were excluded in the past because they were Irish or from some other area of Europe that the rich pedophiles on top of the hierarchy didn’t like. But we all benefit from the ability to interact with a cop without getting spontaneously murdered, get a job more easily because no one’s policing our hair, and many other things we don’t even notice on a daily basis.
Also key difference here: Amazon workers AGREE (albeit under threat of starvation if they don’t have a job) to work there. They agree to work for wages. Black people had their lives and their labor stolen without any agreement signed, without any consent. They were trafficked. The people who trafficked them should have been castrated, executed, and forced to fork over most of what they made off enslaved people.
