Do you think women ignore intersectionality when blaming young men for everything? The majority of young men in America today are POC. So it’s a bit crazy when u see white women who benefitted from colonizing and enslaving us blaming us for the patriarchy

yes, white women forget about their white privilege and men of color forget about their male privilege. it’s a tale as old as time

Yeah for sure. They also speak mostly for white women not other women from marginalised groups

I never considered this but somewhat yes. Certain issues I think can still be broadly applied, but I think it comes down to whether or not the younger poc men are making active efforts as well to change the system rather than uphold it

White ppl didn’t benefit from colonizing and slavery that happened hundreds of years ago, they benefit from sacrifice from their recent ancestors and deserve the life that someone worked so hard to give them. Hope this helps 😊

Absolutely. Also with wealth disparity, educational disparity, etc

How can the majority of young men be a minority?

I don’t think most white women are making active efforts to change the system though… most white women literally voted for Trump this past election. Why should I care about what happens to people who support the status quo societal order of colonialism and slavery. It’s not my responsibility to help them.

Men of color don’t have “male privilege.” What male privilege is there?

Yeah they do lol. They still benefit from segregation that officially ended in their lifetime lol. It was illegal for my parents to be married 😭✌️

How is ur parents marriage being illegal beneficial to white ppl whatsoever? Literally proved my point

When did I say it was? I’m saying segregation still existed. White people still got better jobs, were arrested less, were allowed to live in nicer communities, were given better education, were free from racial prejudice from people in power, etc. stop coping and hating on poor and colored people and just accept that people are still racist.

There is no such thing as male privilege or white privilege you are just making up excuses to not work hard

I’m not hating or coping I’m just saying that ppl should stop making excuses and learn what an honest day of hard work feels like for once instead of blaming other ppl or people from over 200 years ago for their problems

these people have never heard of systems like convict leasing and penal labor. they think racism ended when slavery did, but they don't even know when slavery ended, nor how it transformed and persisted (or persists, depending on how you define it)

Love how I never said racism ended but since ur to narrow minded to look past your assumptions and look at the facts I rly don’t feel like entertaining your stupidity. And just so you’re not confused in the future there are plenty of white ppl who are victims of racism too so idk why you are sitting so high and mighty on your throne of lies like you proved something to me

Strictly speaking, POC have always been the vast majority of people on the planet

They said POC not minority. Each individual race besides white in the US is a minority but if you group them all together they’re a majority. There’s less black people than white in the US but more poc than white bc it’s a GROUP of minorities

This is just not true either. White people make up about little over 55% of the American population. Globally sure but the post is about america. Actually about 1/3 of people in America are white men.

Young men are disproportionately POC compared to the general population of men because POC people are having more kids. Most studies estimate men 18-25 are slightly more than 50% POC

Racial demographics aren’t the same across ages like you are implying. Older people are whiter and younger people are less white, due to birth rates (and immigration rates) differing across races. This is pretty commonly known so not sure why the critical thinking skills are missing.

Women of color might disagree with that statement. I can’t speak for them, but I have listened to Black women talk about Black men exhibiting some of the same oppressive behavior as white men. My journey of learning about all this has slowly led me to believe that we should all put women of color first, as well as trans and nonbinary people of color. Dealing with one form of bigotry is no excuse to enact another, but people who experience all of it don’t really have that option anyway.

Yeah… white women have a lot of issues. Men of all races often behave like entitled shitbags. Women of color have been carrying all of us for a long time. Putting up with white women’s racism, white men’s entitlement, men of color’s violence directed at women of color, everyone’s shit. All while doing a lot of the essential work to actually make the world a better place. Heroes come in all forms, but I think a disproportionate amount are women of color. And everyone else needs to be better.

After the importation of enslaved people was banned in the US, white enslavers exclusively resorted to farming humans to get more workers. Sometimes they had only a mother and her son, and they forced them into incest so that they could get more money. White planners intentionally had roads cut through communities of color to destroy what little they could build after having generations of endless labor stolen from them.

Black people built most of the wealth that white Southerners gained during slavery times and received none of it. They had nothing to give their children because their work, their time, the wealth that they generated with their hands was stolen from them. It still has not been paid back. We still have people who have been trapped in poverty for generations, all because no one paid them what was rightfully theirs.

That’s a little misleading. By your logic the Amazon warehouse worker built bezos’s wealth. The Amazon worker is not entitled to it, bezos is.

It is true that not all white people benefit directly from the stolen wealth. Many people considered white today were excluded in the past because they were Irish or from some other area of Europe that the rich pedophiles on top of the hierarchy didn’t like. But we all benefit from the ability to interact with a cop without getting spontaneously murdered, get a job more easily because no one’s policing our hair, and many other things we don’t even notice on a daily basis.

Bezos is not entitled to all that money. He wants us to think he is because he wants it, but he’s just a rich entitled asshole. We shouldn’t even let people get super rich because they use their money to destroy society.

Also key difference here: Amazon workers AGREE (albeit under threat of starvation if they don’t have a job) to work there. They agree to work for wages. Black people had their lives and their labor stolen without any agreement signed, without any consent. They were trafficked. The people who trafficked them should have been castrated, executed, and forced to fork over most of what they made off enslaved people.
