His schools be required to teach gender studies and women’s studies from K through 12 and age-appropriate manners for each grade level so that boys don’t grow up to become men who don’t understand women?

Don’t know where that will fit in the curriculum. There’s only so much teachers can do. They aren’t parents

Parents should be doing that, not teachers.

From a psychology and sociology student, no, because it’s an inherently complex issue that children wouldn’t be able to understand. Instead teachers should only correct misbehavior and maybe address the issue to the class in an age-appropriate way if there’s a pattern. Consent and boundaries should be taught about which can help prevent common issues that come up (ie he’s bullying you because he likes you).

the issue with these things is it’s far too much government control. in an ideal society parents would be teaching their kids these things before they interact with peers

A program like this won’t do shit to help them if their parents don’t have that same mentality or took pride in educating them. Maybe consider it’s more about what we as a society push
