Advice needed: I am losing a lot of hair due to stress. I’m trying to get in to my doctor, but it’s going to a bit. Any advice for how to improve the strength? There’s no heat or chemical damage. My hair is fine, long, and I have a lot of it normally.

Strength of your hair- I’ve been using biotin for years and it has helped. Collagen may help, as well. I do monthly (one time a month) protein or keratin treatments, and these help a lot. If you can wash your hair less, that would also help. According to Google- iron and zinc rich foods will help as well. I wish you the absolute best on this journey, and I’m sorry you’re having to go through this. 🫶

You can lower your stress (cortisol) with ashwaghanda supplements. I used to take them but I can’t anymore because of a medication that would react poorly with it, but it did wonders for me when I was taking it. It can also help with acne, sleep, and other stress-related issues!

Also FYI the medication in question is sprionolactone. Most meds don’t interact with it at all but spiro is weird, it also causes a bad reaction with grapefruit and potassium so more than likely you’d be fine with the supplement. Never a bad idea to check beforehand though :)
