Not attracted to them so far. Sue me. Call me whatever name makes you feel better. We all have preferences which some people will label as racist, but def not feeling guilty for liking who I like or not.

As someone who is around a lot of Indians, no. I don’t think it’s racist to just not be attracted to a certain race bc I don’t treat them any differently. My reasoning is genuinely just less attraction, cultural reasons, and religious reasons. I once dated a Hindu guy and his family hated me and I noticed the longer we were dating the more he tried to ā€œpush outā€ the Christian part of me and he was apparently big into women roles. I don’t want to generalize everyone of this race

Do you assume everyone of a particular race also follows the same culture?

religion isn’t culture. but for india and countries near, religion is a HUGE thing so yeah i would assume their families would be religious

Do you also refuse to date white people and people of Hispanic descent? Religion is HUGE in those populations as well

Huge in the black community as well

But you just assume someone is religious based on their skin tone and ethnic features? And refuse to date most races because of it?

I’m honestly surprised I’m being ratio’d this hard just for pointing out the very obvious racial prejudice here

Using your logic, it would make sense to refuse to date white, black, and Hispanic people as well, it’s stereotyping based on ethnicity and religion is known for playing a major role in those ethnic communities This post is purely about race, and people are making assumptions about someone’s lifestyle based on their skin color

Tbh I just don’t think it’s really racial prejudice when we’re talking about sexual attraction. It’s not racist to not be romantically interested in a certain group, that doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t otherwise respect them

It is racist if you make assumptions about people’s beliefs or lifestyle based on their ethnicity though. That’s the point I’ve been trying to make

Just because you aren’t attracted to someone doesn’t make you racist. It’s not like they think they have less value as a human

I didn’t say that. I’m saying it’s racist to assume someone’s beliefs or lifestyle based on stereotypes surrounding their race/ethnicity, idk how much clearer I can be about that

I mean when the people voting no are using stereotypes to justify the answer..

You have to make some generalizations when answering a yes or no question. If anything I would put depends bc I’m in still attracted to the person and we mesh well then heck yah I would

You’re right, but the part where you mention sexual attraction did make me raise an eyebrow because there can definitely be an overlap between sexual repulsion and racism, as seen in some of these comments

Having a type is one thing, not dating someone solely because they’re Indian is another

Its not just about who you have liked in the past, if you vote no you’re deciding that you couldn’t possibly be attracted to/see a future with an Indian
