There was a really interesting article on conservative men having shame kinks and whether the shame kink made them more likely to be conservative or if they developed the kink because of the backlash for their political beliefs. Also, anecdotally as a dominant leaning switch, I can confirm a lot of the options for subs are conservative, but that might just be because of where I live because a lot of the options for men in general are conservative.
