wwyd if you start crying after sex and your boyfriend gets upset and tells you it’s “the most emotionally devastating thing i could do to him”. am i gaslighting myself or that an insane way to respond to your partner crying??

I feel like he should be more concerned than angry, throw a brick at him the next time and then ask him why he’s crying

That is crazy wtf. You could be crying because of anything. Why is it emotionally devastating for him?

I think the assumption made as a man in that situation is that you did such a terrible job that you made her cry. Not a correct assumption but one made nonetheless

could’ve hit her cervix or something, i’ve heard that feels like a brick, makes her puke i’ve heard so maybe like you don’t know the situation like still no way for him to react to her crying

Yeah no absolutely, he’s in the wrong no doubt for reacting so harshly But we have to try and resolve things She could have explained to him why she was crying but it sounds like she didn’t, even in her post she didn’t explain why she was crying?

i mean maybe it was a weird rush of emotions and she didn’t know either? we also don’t know how long she was crying before he reacted like that. and tbh it doesn’t matter why she was crying, any romantic or sexual partner reacting that way to u being upset is a HUGE red flag

what if it was a traumatic memory? don’t tell me that if you had a memory of some trauma that you would just outright spit it out because I know for a fact you would not

yeah, anyone reacting to you like that just wants you for the body and not anything else, it’s like those people expect you to not have any emotions

Now we’re playing what ifs Bro I already said the boyfriend is in the wrong 100% But now what? Where do we go from there is the question? If its a breakup then they should break up But if its not a breakup then they need to have a conversation about 1. His reaction OBVIOUSLY but also 2. Why she was crying so he knows what to do or how to prevent it next time.

maybe she was crying about the face he was making, which then the crying lead to the outburst, you ever think that the way that someone looks after something doesn’t affect them?

ur jumping ahead and not answering ops question. she’s just asking if she’s being unreasonable for thinking that’s a really insensitive way for her partner to treat her, we’re saying she’s not being unreasonable. ur jumping in and being like “okay op but what did u do to immediately resolve the situation” like bro she was crying??? and then got treated like that????? we’re not at solutions yet we’re at the determining if there is an issue stage

I’m so so sorry about that my love. Since it’s already happened you have to decide if you’re gonna end it with him or have a conversation about his reaction and why you were crying

Of coursee, girl you’re not crazy at all. And we don’t know the nature of your relationship but my advice is if this is his first “mess up” and you guys have been together for a while, then an open conversation won’t hurt. But if he often reacts like this to things even outside of sex, then definitely reevaluate the relationship.

i’m sorry to say this but i think i still think you should throw a brick at him, it’s something he knows about and THIS IS HOW HE REACTS?? nah fuck that, i’ll be the brick supplier if i have to, a brick a day keeps the tears at bay
