
Okay so! With hooded eyes (and I don’t know how far yours are hooded which also plays a factor) what you need to do is close your eyes and see where the hood basically stops. That is where you need to put your eyeshadow up to. It doesn’t have to be all the way to the eyebrows, having it visible when you have an eye closed is the goal.
That’s totally okay! If you “feel like a clown” which I totally did a first, practice with neutral colors. I also found that a shimmer in the inner corner and a dark color in the outer one (a smoky eye basically) tends to draw the attention elsewhere. I really look at my makeup to see where the attention is so I can redirect it.
