Ladies have y’all seen the Penn state study that shows 97.4 percent of women would rather go to jail than admit they were wrong? If so what is your take on what you read?

Can you post a screenshot of what you're referring to? The link is paywalled and the abstract makes absolutely no mention of what you're referring to.

My first reaction tho is why are they wasting time and resources studying this when things like endometriosis and PCOS exist majorly unstudied

Admit fault to what

I think they are working on it too but it’s kinda scary how nearly 97 percent of women as compared to 11 percent of men would rather go to jail than admit fault to something

So that is only for incarcerated women, not just women being wrong

They would rather be incarcerated than admit they did wrong. Don’t you think thats problematic

So you don’t want to read it yourself?

I don’t even see where it talks about this in the study you linked. It’s just talking about sentencing disparities

Your limited access article is not proving shit bud. No one can access it unless you go to pennstate or pay the subscription😭

In fact when you look up the statistic on its own the first things that pop up are social media posts, not a study or article explaining the stat💀

You clearly saw this stat on social media, then tried to find a source to back it up so you could post it here like it’s fact. When in reality you have no source, probably just Facebook

I just looked into it and I feel like these dudes making social media videos didn’t have access to the study either and are just passing this around. Like

No literally. It sucks that so many academic papers are put behind a paywall but at the same time comes in handy in situations like these🥴 bro supposedly cannot screenshot or copy and paste text😭

Ik lol, I find it hilarious that this dude really tried to present this as fact then got fact checked. He also posted this in ask men

I also just don’t understand how this abstract could translate to 97% of the general population of women rather to to jail than admit fault for some random unspecified thing that no one is bothering explaining. Like maybe it means women are more likely to plead not guilty or use a tactic when committing crime of staying silent or not confessing more

Or like women who commit crime, probably mainly drug related, are more likely to be like whatever I’ll just go to jail than give some sorry I was wrong speech? Idek
