Ok men cannot be this useless omg, unfortunately its not because men aren't being taught but because men start to learn that society is WAY more forgiving to unhygienic men and still be seen as just masculine

I think society should stop infantilizing men and treat them just as they treat women, making them have standards and learn certain life skills regardless of gender and end that "boys will be boys" mentality

Ok but I actually think this is fair. Some ppl aren’t taught socially or by their parents the way some others are and a lot of ppl have fundamental misunderstandings about hygiene. My nephew is downright germaphobic but literally wasn’t taught how to be clean. I dated a guy that wasn’t taught but fr tried his best and was generally ashamed about it. It wouldn’t hurt to have hygiene taught formally to everyone and I don’t think the original poster should be shamed on blast for the idea.

Maybe we should have gender equality classes from prek-12? Public service announcements condemning men for bad hygiene? Public service announcements calling on men to hold each other accountable for good hygiene?

No one is "shaming" OP. And this exact thing can happen for women today but this isn't a mass issue of parents or parental figures being bad at their roles that lies more on the individual. Most people know that if you don't keep up with hygiene you will smell. And you can't miss the smell of BO
