I mean im not into men but at least from a womans view music taste is 100% a necessary component of how attracted i am to a woman. If we cant talk music or if she cant listen to my music we arent compatible

for me it’s less what he listens to and more how he listens to it. If he likes country, fine, I like some of it, but he better not be driving a truck and wearing a cowboy hat and cosplaying. For contexI live in NE. youre from the suburbs, stop larping. Ig just don’t make it your whole personality and I’m happy, yanno? If it’s genuine and passionate that’s fine, but I’ve seen a lot of men try and use their music taste to be more “masculine” (idk how else to describe it) and it feels disingenuous

See for me, I’m just an actual music nerd where I have an obsession with listening to all of the music that’s out there, so I am always wanting to learn what music people are into and can talk about literally any music and love it when people share it with me, but idk if its unappealing when I put on something niche in the car because thats what i was listening to that week
