How do you navigate a friendship where they barely wanna hangout but still wanna text? We live 5 min away from each other. It’s been close to a yr since I’ve seen her. She’s always busy even tho she’s unemployed. I’m getting sick of it 😭

Hey so have you talked with her? Might be a mental health thing, if not it might be a good idea to just take a little break. The friendship will be okay if you take a break if it’s a good relationship if not then it’s probably for the best

Damn. My friend and I live 4 hrs away from each other and we still try and see each other about once every 3 months. I’m sorry, your situation sounds weird. Maybe mention to her that you are tired of not being able to hangout

either plan a hangout and bring this up or soft block, they dont need to know you are taking a silent break from your friendship

Wow that’s honestly insane to me & really just proves people will put in effort for those they wanna see. I just feel like I’m begging. I’ve tried to initiate hangouts many times & she’s always “busy” never offers an alternative date or time. I’ve made my intentions to want to see her obvious. I just feel like I shouldn’t have to keep asking when I’m repeatedly shut down. & I’m a lot more busy than her 😭

I feel like it should be glaringly obvious by my consistent attempts to hangout. I’m honestly pretty worn out by this point. But maybe I’ll have 1 more conversation before I fully give up.

Yeah if she isn’t showing the same effort in return that would be exhausting. At some point you have to draw your line in the sand
