They won’t be. Newsom, Harris, Rubio, or Vance are the main picks for 2028, and Newsom and Harris are moderates who will just go for reform rather than abolishing ICE, and we obviously know where Rubio and Vance stand. So no matter who wins ICE is probably staying and at most will be mildly reformed if Harris or Newsom wins, don’t get your hopes up

Detaining children in terrible conditions and applying excessive harm to innocent people including citizens (though it shouldn’t matter if they’re a citizen or not) doesn’t feel like they’re protecting the nation
