Connecting through a club is always good, or just trying to talk to random people in class. It’s hard, but the majority of people will respond kindly

Talk to them. Unfortunately introductions are important to have a friendship. Though I have found that if you connect via a hobby it’s much easier.

start with a compliment! even if they aren’t in the mood to talk, you lost nothing by being kind. and, if they’re someone you see regularly, they now know you as a nice person. if you have never seen them before and they’re a total stranger, just go for it! don’t let anyone make you believe there is anything embarrassing about pursuing human connection!

What helped be a TON was practicing approaching people at bars bc literally there’s zero pressure. Made it so much easier to get over the social anxiety in other situations

Join clubs! Go out to places with a lot of people with a social vibe, like a nightclub or even an arcade. It’s easier and more expected that someone will approach there than say when you’re working on something in the library.
