dressing to look sexually appealing isn’t misogynistic. i can recognize that i like dressing provocatively partially for sexual attention, from men and women, and i don’t think that needs to be shamed. everyone should strive to seek personal validation rather than external, but it’s not anti feminist to be sexual.

I mean I’m asexual and aromantic so I’m not interested in getting attention like that. Yet I still wear fun outfits because I want to. Are guys going to be weird sometimes? Yes. Am I going to stop dressing up? No.

ever considered trying to alter that so everything still isn't sexualized no matter what the intent is? like if we want to dress to impressive ourselves and make ourselves feel good, how can we do it in a way that still doesn't have misogynistic and sexual male gaze still intertwined with our outfit choices? can we dress pretty without being slutty? i don't mean this in a rude way im genuinely thinking about the ingrained like expectations and perceptions

women in other countries have to wear cloth from head to toe and are not allowed to show their faces yet they still get sexualized. i promise its not about what girls are wearing, so wear whatever makes you feel your best🎀

I still dress “slutty” without men around. I honestly don’t care if men think I look like the ugliest thing on earth or a goddess as long as they don’t bother me. I just wear clothes I like. It’s not my fault if a man finds the way I dress sexy. It’s not some expression of a subconscious idea of what a woman should look like, I wear and love a variety of styles and am attracted to women of almost every aesthetic.

Some people dress for themselves and others do it for male attention. A girl told me after every Halloween party her goal is to get railed and some people don’t care to do that it depends on the person

i think i'm just wondering how we can do that if we don't want to be sexualized or objectified? it's confusing to me because i don't want to be slut shamed but i also recognize im dressing sexually for attention

You’re going to be sexualized and objectified no matter how you dress. Dressing a certain way doesn’t mean you deserve it. In my opinion a body is a body. I don’t think boobs and whatnot are inherently sexual, but I understand you might not feel that way. If you are seeking attention (which a lot of people aren’t) at least that gives you a fraction of control in the picture. At least you can control how someone sexualizes you.

I’d say if you have your whole ass out then that is inherently sexual ? 😭

technically - there is nothing inherently sexual about an ass

There's a reason you can't go out in public with ass out in front of kids. And it's not because a body is a body

i’m aware. just pointing out that an ass is technically not inherently sexual
