you genuinely have to just ignore it for now. don’t argue back, don’t say anything back, try not to look upset. i guarantee they’re looking for a reaction from you so don’t give it to them

I’ve been and am still in the same situation. I’ve learned to attempt to ignore it because there’s only so much fighting you can do. Even when they do make fun of you just ignore them and play the game. My dad is supporting me through college and helping me financially but him and his wife are always making fun of liberals, knowing that im a liberal. I had jus learned to live with and move away to college where i dont have to hear ab it anymore.

You have to compartmentalize when they look for a reaction. If you know for a cold hard fact that they will never sit down and have a productive conversation with you, then take it on the chin, take their money and get your education and then set your boundaries.
