Has anyone else noticed how much people hate pregnant women? Or pregnancy in general? No one says congrats anymore and don't get me started on the lack of empathy for single mothers, as if men don't change their entire personality to have sex.

Oh yeah 1000%. I’ve noticed the way that men treat those who are pregnant and it’s super weird.

I feel that like I do understand why we encourage women not to have children young or on their own, because it’s hard, it’s a difficult position to put yourself in. But when a woman knows what she wants and chooses it I hate that we are not more supportive. It’s like our society is set up to punish women at all times no matter what, and even some women are too fast to turn against eachother sometimes

Can you explain. I've never heard of anybody treating pregnant women other than with extra care because they're pregnant

Oh yeah absolutely. A lot of men treat women being visible pregnant with honest to god disgust. Like I’ve even seen it.

I mean having kids might be weird for you but don’t you have enough empathy to be happy for someone who is really excited. For a lot of people having a kid means a lot to them, and it’s a big change in their lives, it’s natural to look for support and cheer during that tome

Like even i as someone that does eventually want a family (have endometriosis so its harder anyways), i get the disgust a lot of the time. Ipad kids, general economy shittiness, worsening kids media, etc…. None are encouraging. And yeah ill add im a little extra salty bc id have to do so much to have kids and people do it without giving a shit and without caring if theyd even be good parents.

Ill say congrats if theyre people i think would make good parents lmao, otherwise.. yikes. And yeah usually the worst parent candidates are the ones that rush to reproduce fsr. Im not congratulating someone thats making an impulsive decision that can ruin someones entire life (the childs, if they are bad parents)

I sorta agree but wether you congratulate them or not that babies gonna be had, so might as well just exercise good manners

Right? Look, I definitely see people who I DO NOT think should have kids having kids, but you know what, that’s an inside thought. Me being a nasty bitch to them isn’t gonna stop that baby from being born. It will have better chances if it’s born into a supportive, not judgemental community.

Yes!! I fully believe when someone wants a family and keeps their child everyone around them should be happy for them!! Babies are blessings!!
