I think people just want on a basic level for men to hold their friends accountable for things. Like if they make a rape joke, tell him to knock it off or if they talk poorly about people who are different than them called them out on it.

systemic change is insanely hard, so starting in your own circles is a great start! surround yourself with kind like minded people

See, but I think that’s part of the issue. People do surround themselves with kind like minded people. Then, no one who is actually good is close enough to this guys to actually help them improve.

Sure but people also tend to follow the status quo. If disrespectful behaviors that would typically receive high-fives are suddenly shamed, less people would condone and engage in that behavior.
