For anyone that gardens, how do you get your fruits and veggies to start producing (indoors specifically) because I have a bunch of plants that are happy and flower just fine but veggies or fruits never seem to come. A gal needs help :(

Don’t the flowers need to be pollinated to bear fruit? You could find the male flowers and get a paint brush to artificially pollinate your female flowers. If they’re indoors there’s no other way they’d get pollinated.

Vegetables can be more difficult, I’ve tried carrots, radish and lettuce but they were all very very small, maybe it has to do something with soil quality and climate. Cherry tomatoes, tomatoes, green beans and squash on the other hand do quite well!

Well okay so what I meant by flowers I meant that my plants like caladiums, lemon lime maranta, Venus fly trap, and others all produce a lot of flowers perfectly fine. But for example, my pepper plant (ají amarillo to be exact) has maintained itself for over a year now but it hasn’t produced a single flower for me to even try to pollinate it with a electric toothbrush (which helps collect the pollen). And at this point it should’ve already produced mature peppers.

Only time I had success was growing potatoes. Those were fun and easy.

The funny part is that I didn’t even try to grow the squash! I composed some left over spaghetti squash and acorn squash I had from the grocery store and lo and behold a few months later they were all over the garden!
