I feel like I just didn’t use my college years for as much as I should’ve 😭 like I’ve still made friends at my job but I feel like it would’ve been so much better if I had a social life during that time

You speak as if you are forced to live and work in the same area all the people from college do. Which is not even the case by default

Ppl usually regret they didn’t have the social or lively experience. College is usually a one time unforgettable experience and some waste it on other things and have nothing to really tell back to ppl when they graduate about how college life is

For guys the college experience only exists if you’re in Greek life or perusing an easy degree and a conventionally attractive white guy who pulls at bars. Truth be told if you aren’t white the college experience doesn’t exist by default. It also doesn’t exist if you have real goals beyond the four years academically

By default the college experience is for everyone who attends. PWIs are not the only colleges to exist so to say only white frat dudes can have an experience is just racism. I know a shit ton of non white guys in fraternities and not in one with great college lives

And they have real goals. You can balance school and a social life

The college experience is not the default for most people in stem who are men just being real. The us and most schools are “pwis” and most public schools Greek life is the epicenter of social life and gatherings. Minority men are often relegated to friend groups at best.

Most people have goals but do little to go after them which is why most people who have the college experience are business, accounting, marketing, finance majors who all think they’ll be working on Wall Street but will be lucky to break 6 figs in five years

Everyone can have friend groups and if you can’t balance school and your social life in stem that’s a you problem. It may be harder but it’s possible. I’m a stem major and I still balance school, a part time job, and my social life

So HBCUS don’t have POC with social lives. Only white frats with business majors have social lives. you don’t see ANY other ppl outside having fun

Those are still very high demand and needed fields. Why are you in college if you think you’re the only major that’s important. Otherwise the major doesn’t need to exist. I hate stem guys like you. “Yall are lucky my major is so hard I have no time to even go out”. How is that my problem. You chose that major not me

Most people including minorities do not attend hbcus. I am speaking on a male point of view which depends on your definition of fun and college experience.

Are you reading? I never once have suggested having a friend group is some unattainable thing or rare. It’s just got nothing to do with college experience as people have friend groups at all stages of life

Yeah I’m a minority idiot and my social life is perfectly fine at my PWI bc I actually know how to have a work life balance. It’s called time management skills

Is that not what you did to my first comment you replied to? Idk how a minority would unironically argue that there is little racial disparity in the college experience socially lmao

The social disparity has nothing to really do with making the most of their experience? As if they can’t have connections or friends at all?
