I’m afraid that I speak condescendingly to people when I ramble about topics that interest me. How do you talk about your passions but avoid sounding like a professor?
Be genuinely joyful and if they add new information celebrate it. If they mention something you already know then you have a bridge of connection to discuss it

Don’t act like every bit of information is new, especially if you are speaking to someone in the field. A fun fact or two is fine, and ask if they are interested in learning/ hearing more. Not everyone will be.

Interjecting with "you know?" Or "right?" Or "u prob know this but im gonna nerd out". Demonstrate that you dint assume ignorance on their part
