I agree however the bad women tend to just be assholes. The bad men are often violent, usually sexually (not dismiss the problem and say there are not many female perpetrators of violence and assault, I myself have been a victim of one) but it’s statistically not the same epidemic.
Ok you have a good point that there are more bad men who are violent and physically harmful. However, I think it’s worth acknowledging that some women can be just as harmful, although in a different way. I know from experience how cruel and bitchy fellow women can sometimes be, it’s just not externally visible the way assault by a man is. (Disclaimer: I’m not trying to downplay the horrors of sexual assault by male perpetrators, I’m just trying to bring an additional perspective to the table).
Oh i definitely agree, if im being honest in my own life I’ve actually been physically and mentally harmed by women more often then men. However the atrocities committed by men and the commonality of those atrocities are also things we can’t look away from or pretend women do at the same scale. Like I have been bullied harassed and hurt by women more times than me, but I have 3 female relatives who have been raped by men, one to the death, I can’t say women have done the same.
I feel like we as a society need to do a better job of both calling out the systemic and constant threat of male violence, but also being willing to admit women can do a lot of harm themselves, I don’t like how we tend to act like women are these perfect victims, or that men are irredeemable monsters, the world is not black and white like that
