Why do people act like we choose what’s attractive we’re attracted to? Like I had someone crash out because i don’t find black hair attractive, it’s just bc my mom has long black hair and I don’t like it much. I didn’t get to choose if that makes sense

Crashing out is excessive, it normally just stems from that preference could really be prejudice. Preferences are fine but it could seem like you're implying you'd never date an entire race based on one characteristic. ex long black hair is a staple in many cultures so automatically saying you don't find it attractive also could say you automatically don't find anyone in those cultures attractive and you can see where it can become a slippery slope from there even if it's not true

Like i don’t find megan fox, zendaya, or even sofia vegara and I didn’t choose that😭 like objectively they’re beautiful women but i don’t find them attractive.

i wasn't talking about specifically black people either, over 70% of the global population has black hair. I'm also not shaming your opinion, just explaining why many will see it as odd and what it looks like without further context.
