Because women occupy the subordinate position in a patriarchal gender hierarchy, they have stronger incentives to study men than men have to understand women (or even themselves). Women are also more inclined towards empathy bc we are biologically predisposed to attune to babies and children to a greater degree than men are. So on the whole, women already understand this stuff
Incel culture has nothing to do with the term itself. Just bc you’re not having sex yet you want to. Doesn’t mean you’re an incel. Bc that means every single person on the planet is an incel and that’s not statistically true. So again. Incels are self inflicted hatred ppl. Regular ppl are perfectly fine without sex despite not having it bc they’re not acting entitled to the action
If you want to get laid, but you can’t get laid despite wanting to get laid, that makes you an incel. That is the only defining feature of the term ….there are things that come after the term like the culture of people developed based on that term. But the culture does not defined the term.
It is relevant, but first let’s acknowledge that women feel undesired no less often than men do. The main difference is that women usually feel undesired relating to their personhood, in other words “who” they are rather than “what” they are. Men are more likely to reject women for long term romances, while women are more likely to reject men who only want hookups, which is to say men are being rejected for more surface level attributes (like appearance)
The research says otherwise. Women who are actively dating are significantly more likely than men to be exclusively seeking a committed relationship (41% vs. 25%), while men are more likely to be open to casual dating. So I’m not sure what evidence you’re basing the claim that men are more likely to be rejected for long-term relationships on, the data point in the opposite direction in terms of what men and women are actually seeking
