Okay so my period is about 26 days late. I took a pregnancy test even though I haven’t had sex since late August- early September. It was negative. My previous cycle length was 55 days. I’ve never had a regular cycle. I’m scared I have PCOS. Idk what to d

I was just diagnosed with pcos literally three days ago. I think you should get a professional opinion. It is quite daunting learning about the health problems that can go along with pcos, but I think that’s why it is important to know if you have it. Getting it diagnosed sooner could save you from many major health problems down the road. Stay safe 🙃

Also there is a long term issue that is often overlooked with irregular hormones. It inhibits the absorption of calcium which then increases the risk of osteoporosis. Hospitals are often reluctant to check the bone density over the years and wait for bones to crack after a fall.

By then what they find low bone density on the wrists, it is more on the lumbar spine. Then a person has to change how they do things each day since it back is frail like glass.

Go to a doctor/gyno!! But also keep in mind that irregular periods are normal too

If you think you have it, I’d def go to a gyno. I haven’t been to one, but we know I have it. My surgeon said it, I said it, my mom, etc. also look at family health history. PCOS is something you can inherit, so if your mom an aunt has it, Theres a good chance you might.

I don’t know who to go to for it😭😭. I’m freshly 19 and I don’t have like an OBGYN or a doctor out by my school

I’m finding an OBGYN by my school rn too, just look up gynos in your area. Until then I’d suggest looking up the different ways pcos affects people. It is so different person to person and your experience could be completely different from others’.

But you have time till shit hits the fan. If you have it, you’ve had it for a while. Life won’t stop if you get a diagnosis (this is all what I’ve been telling myself in the last 36 hours since getting diagnosed out of literally nowhere)

You are a godsend! I’ve been searching and I realized I have many of the symptoms that most people have with it. Like the excess hair growth, irregular/ missed periods, hormonal acne, trouble sleeping, the cortisol stomach, random pain in my lower abdomen, etc

It sounds like you have two of the three indicators, which is enough for a diagnosis.

Currently trying to find a gyno or a doc out by my school cause I live on campus but it’s hard cause I’m only 19. I have nobody helping me with this process

I understand girl, im 19 too. Definitely look into women’s clinics!! They usually have at least 1 in every college town, for std tests, pregnancy stuff etc. They can check you out and see if there are any underlying issues!! I understand this is difficult though, but it will be okay

Also: planned parenthood helps with things like this ! If their clinic doesn’t actively have an obgyn they will at least have resources towards finding you one!!! Good luck!! :)
