I partially agree. "Ignoring" racism is not a good strategy. Being aware of it, navigating it, exploiting it, will enable you to be the best version of yourself and make America great Call out racists, manipulate sexist men, allow bigots to underestimate you then decimate them when you compete, show compassion and make alliances with good helpful people. Fight the bad and align yourself with the good. You'll win that way

Being aware of other people’s prejudices, biases, lack of awareness, and systemic issues is important so you can prepare and know how to navigate them. However, that awareness shouldn’t turn into a paralysis and complacency that proves the voices right. There’s a fine line between pointing that out or dismissing the way people can be mistreated or judged for traits they can’t control. We’d need more context to know where OOP lies on that spectrum.
