my girlfriend is getting an abortion and I want to help as much as possible. I feel so guilty that I can’t bear any of the pain with her is there anything I can do to help? I got her ginger teas and heating pads but its eating at me that I can’t do more

Honestly? Talk to her about it. And you are also allowed to feel a certain way about it too. Just be there to support her and understand if she’s a bit- off. The hormones can be wild.

Just be prepared to support her through the emotions and listen to her. Idk what your specific circumstances are but even people who know abortion is the right choice for them can go through a wide range of emotions about it

Show up and let her know that you are there for her! Her hormones and emotions are going to be a bit wild, but it’s natural for it to happen. Just by showing up, it helps her know that you’ll be there for future events as well

shes so sweet and shes been so strong so she doesn’t want me to worry but I can’t help it… Im gonna try to do as much as I can for her but i just feel so guilty and wish she would try and lean on me a little more

thank you i’ll try not to. I know we didn’t choose this but i can’t help but think i should’ve been more careful and more aware but i guess its a lesson to be learned. I really appreciate the reassurance its hard keeping a smile on my face for her when the guilt really eats at me

Absolutely not. It’s his girlfriend, you don’t get to decide if he lets her hurt or not. As someone who’s been through that kind of pain, I desperately wanted someone to be there for me.
