Patterned! something like this. I would look for colors that are similar to the color of your couch/furniture. browns and dark reds. I think that would make the room look a lot more put together. not that it looks bad at all now i just think it would probably make it feel more complete and homey

if you really wanna get into it you can get some wall art for the wall behind the couch. just something kind of big and center it with the couch. i’m not sure if you are a dude or a gal but it doesn’t have to be something girly like a flowery painting. it could be framed posters or something sports related if that’s more your style.

like if you got 2 or 3 posters framed and just hung them parallel to eachother centered above the couch. maybe be mindful about color though

I do have two pictures i have to hang up! One is blue,red,and yellow and the other is red,green, yellow i believe! Im a guy too. The rug you showed is cool!
