had to do this because my mom kept buying me gimmicky tee shirts of shows we like (i don’t wear a lot of graphic tees so i was sleeping in them) and i had to tell her that i didn’t have any more room to store them. just frame it as a future thing instead of commenting on the past. “stuffies made me happy and moving forward this other thing will and stuffies probably won’t.” but in whatever way you talk to him normally

My bf kept getting my flowers (he’s so sweet I love him) but they became work bc I had to cut them and take care of them, and it was always the days I was having a bad day and had NO energy. They always died in a week no matter what (I’m not good with plants sue me) and he stopped getting me flowers but now he gets me cosmic brownies/kitkats
