A lot of my closest friends are girls, I promise you that not all men are evil to girls and want to see them fail. I think those guys just have a really big ego and hate the idea of someone being better than them while also being sexist. I swear there are some good blokes out there

yeah i know, i have a wonderful bf who is incredibly supportive, even when i feel this way. it’s just that it truly is so many men that when i get groceries or go to classes, usually i have a bad experience with one and that’s enough for it to get to me.

sure there is some shared feeling of oppression amongst oppressed groups but every kind of oppression is different with different histories. it isn’t all the same. it appears in different ways in different areas of life, so i was expressing my *unique* feeling as an individual woman. also i’m allowed to look for community and comfort when i feel that way.

Aaand now you’re just being rude to the OP. Yes, as she said, there is some crossover in oppression, but the oppression every minority faces is different. In this SPECIFIC case, a WOMAN came to ask WOMEN to ask if any WOMEN feel the same. Yes other minorities can also feel sad and hopeless, however not in the same way as women feel sad and hopeless, which is what OP was asking about in the first place. Go. Somewhere. Else.
