My male gyno is the only gyno I’ve had that actually takes me seriously. My female gynos brushed over my pain saying to take ibuprofen. My male gyno discovered I had a huge ovarian cyst and did something about it

For me I just feel uncomfortable I rather have a girl.

I’ve had both and I have found my male gynos to be a little more gentle! But in every other type of medical need I prefer women

I always see female doctors for everything body related ( I see a male allergy doctor that’s it)

I don’t mind any doctor being male but I will never feel comfortable with a guy doing my Pap smear. I will never have a male gyno

I have nothing against men, but personally I would want a woman OBGYN. They personally understand what it is like to be a woman and dealing with hormones, postpartum depression, periods etc. Men do not have that first hand experience.
