i recently lost my boyfriend’s great grandma’s ring that he gave me. i always put it in the same spot, but when i last checked, it was just gone. the guilty is insane right now. he’s so sweet but i know he’s rightfully upset. i just don’t know what to do

Ma’am, if you aren’t going to wear it wear it around your neck or put it in a jewelry box or something. Your boyfriend loves you very much to give you that. That is family history.

yes, my boyfriend loves me and i love him. i wear the ring everyday. i only take it off when my fingers swell, and i was writing a paper that day. i appreciate your advice, but my guilt is debilitating right now so please don’t tell me something i already know

I understand, I’m sorry I didn’t think through what I was saying and made a reactionary response. I really hope you find that ring. And please PLEASE do not try to feel guilty. Human beings make mistakes. At the same time however, if that ring is gone so MIGHT be your relationship as much as I hate to say it. Me personally As a man I would have a hard time forgiving you. I really hope everything works out and it’s in a couch cushion or underneath upholstery somewhere. Fingers crossed for you.
