some like it and you should ask if they like poetry and talk about it before you share your work

My mom still has a poem a guy wrote for her in the 90s, she showed it to me and my sisters a few years ago. Not sure why their relationship never worked out as the guy is not my dad, but she’s sentimental enough to keep it forever :)
