Back in Church I kinda just accepted it as mythology for spiritual guidance. I didn’t like it per se… same way you don’t like having to pee every day but don’t really question it. After leaving Christianity, I can more clearly see how often Eve is blamed for everything wrong with the world and how this is used to put down all women.

That’s strange. Not sure what church you went to. It’s commonly explained and known at my church that both Adam and Eve were at fault- yes Eve was deceived but Adam knowingly allowed her to eat and did so himself. Adam who was supposed to lead, and who knew Gods instructions, allowed both of them to sin, while Eve was deceived by the devil. Adam required no deceiving.

But my least favorite New Testament writer is Paul. Dude murdered a bunch of Christians, then waltzed into Jesus’s woke, radical, near gender-equal group of early Christians, and told the women, women who had been there longer and been much more faithful than him, to shut up in church.

Don’t know if that makes sense, but both Adam and Eve sinned and thus began the story of the Bible. Shouldn’t be used to bring down all women, but sometimes it’s a meme about women and choosing what to eat lol

That’s what I was told too. The people blaming everything on eve are I think typically the more Fundamentalist and/or Evangelical sects. Also the offshoot cults such as Mormonism.

They’re just people who don’t comprehend reading ngl. Also Paul was addressing an issue in the certain church where the women would literally be disruptive and loud over the men. I forget the whole thing, but he’s wasn’t saying as a rule women aren’t allowed to open their mouths in church. The women of that church though did need to be quiet and learn. They were being disrespectful although I can’t remember exactly the context.

Wait woke and radical? Def not that. But anyways, Paul often states that of all the sinner he is the foremost, and he’s one of the most humble authors of the Bible you’ll find. He also writes about that issue about people not trusting him or wanting proof of him being saved. And it was letters over years, where he mentored a lot of people. He’s one of my favorites!

Oh boy. This is like listening to my friend talk about her boyfriend who happens to be my toxic ex (joke by Taylor Tomlinson). If you get value out of it, I won’t stop you. But I’m never going back.
