The vet lost our fucking dead cats ink paw prints. Wwyd? Back story. July 10th, we unexpectedly had to put our 11 y/o cat down. We opted to cremate him, and was told the paw prints would be with his ashes. Nope. They mailed them. No tracking. Nothing.

I am so sorry for your loss and so sorry they lost the prints. Realistically I think all you can do is demand reimbursement for whatever you paid for the ink prints, and leave them a salty review. That’s an important piece of mail so they should be mailing it with a certified receipt, I would mention that in the review so hopefully they take the suggestion and it won’t happen to anyone else. Big hugs to you

I keep trying to call them, and I have been promised to call back from the manager four times today. We didn’t pay for the ink prints, they told us that that was included. But they told me that it’s whoever notices that the card that they’re going to send out is full. And then whoever notices it is the one who sends it. But they just stick it in an envelope and send it to the mailbox. There’s no tracking number. And I have called every mail place around me. And no one has it. Im heartbroken

Plus my fiance and I wanted to get it tattooed on us. But now we will never have his paw print. Ever.

I’m heartbroken for you. I know that was the last piece of your baby you were expecting to get to cherish forever. You got done really dirty and I’m so sorry. I hope you have a favorite photo of your cat or something else that could be inspiration for a tattoo. They should know better than to mail valuable/sentimental things without proper tracking :(

Also at that point if they keep promising to call I would just show up at the office so they can’t ignore you. Up to you but I wouldn’t blame you for walking in and making a stink

I just don’t want to cause more of an issue. The way they handled this was horrible. We also went in for our first appointment asking for help with our cats behavioral issues. And they told us to put him down. They thought possibly a brain tumor. Which now, that’s the only possible explanation. But we were also changed for a 30 minute consult. But the vet saw us for all of 10 minutes. And when I tried to talk to the manager. She talked to me as if I was stupid. It was a nice place. Until this

Yeah I totally get not wanting to cause an issue. They sound irresponsible though, I still think you should lay this all out in a review.

Talked to the office manager. She said that once it leaves. That’s it. And I told her then it needs to be an option for pet parents to choose where to pick it up.
