Do break ups stop hurting. My boyfriend and I of three years just broke up. And I want to text him. I feel like I did the wrong thing. Does it get better?

let yourself feel the emotions. if you let yourself feel everything, it’ll go by faster than you even realize.

Hey, post relationship, we were engaged. It gets better I promise, I lost almost twenty pounds, was so dehydrated, hated life and was miserable, but now? Over it and I’m totally living life, it will get better.

It does eventually. I went through a bad breakup where I was dumped by an ex I was with for years. Every single day I wanted to text after we finally agreed to go no contact. Ex broke no contact but I kept it up and texted anyone else I could. I eventually realized how shitty my ex was and how much I gave and couldn’t even get a birthday dinner paid for. Not fucking once even tho I paid for multiple for my ex. Take it one day at a time and journal, it helps

it gets SO much better, just sucks right now cus all the emotions are fresh. focus on something new—a new skill or hobby to fill that space. appreciate the lessons you learned and grow from the experience. everything happens for a reason, and know better is coming🫶

Idk think of when something else in your life really hurt. Does it hurt as much now as it did then?

I just went through the same thing last year. It’s so hard at first, but it’s slowly hurting less. It will get better for you too

Think you might wanna try therapy/psychiatry if when you experience something it doesn't ease over time.

Also to add to this, I went the day after to pick flowers with my mom, it helped so much. Not saying to push yourself but try a little outing like a coffee or a walk or something. I really did feel better once I was out for a while. You got this 🩵
