Unpopular opinion: all of these fetish bait posts have traumatized me to the point where I believe it should be taboo to openly talk about fetishes outside of spaces devoted to your fetishes.

I think un consensually using people for your kink is bad no matter what, not a bad opinion. If you want to do kink that is fine, other people should be warned and get to decide wether they want to participate or not

Isn’t it taboo anyway? Anonymous online forums make it easy to make an insane uncalled for comment and dip. But not everything needs to be normalized. Beyond that, the taboo nature is what some people enjoy, and normalizing the fetish/kink may limit their enjoyment of it

Correct OP. What happens such spaces exist and it’s a trade show/swapmeet in practice. They do not pair up with others who share the same fetish in those spaces. What happens is they want to find normal people and basically explore their fetish with normal people. Basically their pleasure requires a normal person being weirded out/traumatized.
