if she was afraid you would cause problems if she said no, or just changed her mind

When I was younger i gave it out feeling bad for saying no. I also felt bad for not responding. 😂 now i know how to politely reject even if I feel bad. I just felt sorry knowing they have to walk away embarrassed or disappointed.
