If there can be silicon based life because it’s below carbon, what about the other elements below carbon like lead, germanium and tin, why don’t we discuss lead or tin based life. They are all below carbon so the outer electrons are in the same config

Generally the larger the atoms, leading to a larger electron cloud, the weaker the bonding forces. So lead and tin do not possess the same potential for life as carbon and silicon.

Ok, so they do technically have potential it’s just super super unlikely compared to silicon and obviously carbon
