That seems unreasonable for teens no? Especially if you aren’t paying it. And not ideal or safe for them on their own

I don’t know if I could handle walking in on my child having sex ,emotionally speaking. So I would argue at that , that boundary is one item setting for myself that I would hold my child respects

I mean realistically, most parents can’t emotionally fathom their children doing anything that signals them growing older. My parents took years to emotionally fathom that I started dating and didn’t want me dating at all. But realistically as parents you have to come to terms with kids simply…not being kids anymore. But to simply teach them the safeties of everything they encounter

I’m perfectly fine with doing and taking the steps I need to take to come to terms with my potential child growing older. I’m just not fine with the potential of me walking in on my child having sex in my house.

It may also make your children more sneaky and less trusting in the future with things. I know when I lost mine I had to continue to sneak myself out bc my parents didn’t allow sex let alone guys in their house

Have them keep their door locked but also as a parent set the boundary that if someone is coming over, that you’re alerted of it beforehand. That way you’re at least aware of the potential of it happening so you aren’t barging in

I guess I’d be a healthy medium parent. They’re allowed but I need to know beforehand. As much as it is my house and I’m allowed my boundaries, my children should still feel safe to experiment sexuality or sex in their own home they also live in. But I’ll ofc supply them with yk…condoms and stuff because I want them to be as safe as possible

My parents also never gave me the sex talk. When I started dating my mom would just say “no drugs, no drinking, no sex”

if you don’t wanna walk in on them then knock before entering rooms. chances are they’re gonna do it either way and esp if i have a daughter i’d rather them be close by than in a random hotel incase she’s uncomfortable or something happens
