hard for what I have & my money management skills have improved over the years. It seems there’s this passive aggressiveness about her perception of my status in life but it’s just false. Is this something worth talking to her about or is it harmless if she just assumes this?

Felt. My two best friends come from a single parent house and a family with 6 siblings so I am the designated “rich person” of the group. I had a discussion with them about how my parents are teachers and we were not rich, just in a better financial situation at that moment. They were completely understanding and never meant anything bad by it

honestly you can’t really change their perception of you so just ask her about the posts she likes and just say you work hard for it, that’s what i do like i work a ton of hours for this very reason so you should be able to enjoy the money you make

Pretty confident answer, but OP isn’t the only one. I live in a higher end of my town and I also have a friend who thinks I’m rich despite me telling her I’m not at all. I think that the ability to SAVE money is something some people can’t comprehend.

How are you going to tell me about someone I know personally? She’s told me she only has 1 other friend, which is not a bad thing I don’t have many friends either. But I know her other friend & she’s not rich either. The last time we hung out she asked for financial advice so I briefly gave her some. Then a few days later she’s liking posts about having a rich friend who’s out of touch giving financial advice. I’m not delusional it’s clearly about me lol.
