My grandfather was a good person. But the sexism of back then was a whole different beast than what we have today. A lot of men still suck don’t get my wrong buts it’s not the same. Even the best men of the time were likely to hold views we would find shockingly sexist by todays standards

I think 1926 men were arguably better than modern men at actually courting women but you can’t really look past the fact that they tended to be vehemently misogynist. Modern men are not the greatest either tho imo

Obviously I could be wrong wrong, I wasn’t around then. But I feel like men then overall respected women more in a still sexist belittling way, but respected them in that sense. Where men now I think just respect women in general even less, even with the advancement in the women’s role thing even though it’s still there and used against women

Living in the generation of racism and beating women? Full of sexism and misogyny and high poverty? No.

There was a ton of internalized misogyny back then, so that was just straight-up horrible. But today we also have alpha males, redpill/blackpill, incels, Andrew Tate followers, and even just a lot of guys who try to justify it all. Misogyny has always been present, it just goes by many names mow

We have the least sexist generation of men ever in human history, but also the most single and hated generation of men in human history

It’s not that men are more hated than before, it’s just that women have the freedom to not be with men if we don’t want to

I would also guess that even if they are less sexist, I think women are also hated more by men than they were 100 years ago. I think you can be less sexist in terms of women’s roles and stuff but still have a surge in gender divide and blatant disrespect towards women

Yepppp. Men may “allow” us in the workforce now but it doesn’t mean they’re nice to us there etc etc. in some ways sexism is more visible to us now bc women’s rights have pissed men off and made them act out more clearly

Women would get arrested for wearing a crop top in 1926, and wife beating was normalized, men were way more “acting out” back then compared to day.

Yeah bc women didn’t have the freedom to safely say things like that. It was generations of living with those men that radicalized us. We’re not just mad at this generation of men. We’re mad at how men have acted through history and that some still uphold it

Because women are finally allowed the free speech to hate their oppressors. Centuries ago if a woman tried to talk back against them or attempt to have any freedom she would be beaten or murdered

And women are still beaten and murdered for not liking men. Even the ones who don’t generally dislike men get murdered for saying no when they get asked out

You’re acting as if because some men do murder, that justifies hatred of men and you call them “oppressors” and justifying things like “KAM” as freedom of speech against their oppressor When 99% of men haven’t murdered a woman, but you still lump us in with murderers and call us oppressors

upvote -3 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 4w

It’s like how white people are oppressors of black people. Is every single white person a racist? No but many of them are, and even more of them excuse/ignore injustice, still contributing to racism. The same happens with men. The number of men who have harassed or abused a woman is far higher than anyone is aware of, the justice system protects them

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 4w

So because some white people are oppressors, would you ever condone people saying “KAW” like you see women say “KAM”? No you wouldn’t, and shouldn’t. That’s insane.

I’ve never met a woman or seen one anywhere online who had a distrust and dislike of men, who had not previously been a victim of misogyny. Most of the people I see talking the way you’re referring to are victims of rape and abuse. Women may have more legal protections and rights now but that doesn’t mean society is any less. Women finally have a right to speak their mind so we do. Misandry makes insecure and lonely men feel upset, misogyny literally gets women killed

Anonymous replying to -> OP 4w

I would understand that if there were literally any case of these women actually killing men. I agree it’s a problematic way of going about things. But rebellion is natural when your whole life you’ve grown up in a world where men are a very REAL threat to your life. I have never met one good man who spends any time worrying about edge case misandrists. Their focus is on combating misogyny

There are many cases of women who hate men and then kill them. Look at Eileen Wuornos. Or the last two “femcel” shooters. And look at all the millions of men who got false rape accusations and ended up dead or in jail because of it.

Do you realize how many times more likely it is for a man to get away with rape than a man to falsely get charged of rape

Look at George Stinney for example. Accused of rape and murder because he was a black male. He was executed at only 14. You can say his case was racial, but if he was a female he wouldnt’ve been accused of raping them. It was both racist and sexist and he died because of it. And the people who justify that use the same logic that you use now. Saying that any black person who went against racism wasn’t a good person. It’s the same exact thing

default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 4w

Why are you more offended by misandry than the historical and modern day misogyny that causes it? I’ve never seen someone with misandrist beliefs who wasn’t a victim of misogyny first, and I never see anyone saying we should kill all men either. A victim of abuse saying all men are pigs or whatever doesn’t even compare to the shit women have to deal with in this world

Once again you’re basically saying women are infallible and perfect. That all misandry is justified because some man did something to her. And yes you do see KAM, because if you didn’t then how did you know what it means? Because you DID see it! And also you say only victims of abuse say it? What about the men that hate women then? Are they just victims of abuse too? or are men just born evil compared to the perfect women who never do anything wrong unless abused, according to you.

I am sorry for your experiences. Any woman who acts like that is disgusting. Every victim matters. But again. Misandry does not have the social hold and power misogyny has. The statistics of people falsely accused vs the statistics of actual rape victims are huge. There is a reason we have a lot more urgency about misogyny, and tend not to ally ourselves with men who don’t care or turn a blind eye.

Maybe it’s possible for a woman who has never experienced misogyny to be a misandrist? But I highly doubt any woman who has left her house has been able to avoid misogyny, you really don’t understand how prevalent it is. Maybe somewhere there’s a young girl who chooses to live in her basement all day who somehow doesn’t know what misogyny is and decides to hate an entire gender for the hell of it.

Only time I see anyone saying kill all men is when men bring it up in posts like this. I’ve never heard or see a woman tell people she genuinely believes all people born male need to be murdered lol. It’s common for men to hate women just for being women because they are raised that way. So many men are so deep in their gender roles that they’ll get reprimanded by a female teacher and feel so embarrassed or emasculated they hold it with them their whole lives. Or when their moms act like moms
