Absolutely. My best friend is a guy who was assaulted as is my brother. I try to be a good resource as I also was assaulted and have that perspective

I really struggle to be emotionally vulnerable with women as opposed to men which mainly because women I my life often talk about their expectations of masculinity in the people they date

Yes I am. I tell my bf all the time if he needs to vent he’s free to text or call me. He’s not the type to express himself so it takes him a min

Fuck yes. I’ve been assaulted and I will fight anyone that says a man can’t be. I never thought I would be & I was, why would I be a bitter bitch in the life of another survivor when it’s easier and feels better to just be supportive and listen? 🤷‍♀️

yeah a lot actually. it’s normal to cry. i’ve seen every man i’ve been in a relationship with cry. i’ve had my dad break down in tears on my shoulder. my most recent ex opened up to me about his experience being sexually assaulted

Listen bro, most women will look at you like you’re weak and use it against you eventually. Truth is, it’s always better to cry infront of them, because it’s much better to know their truth rather than not knowing who they really are. It’s very, VERY rare, but you’ll find a woman who won’t care about you crying eventually

I’ve held an ex while he cried on me. Like I was soaked with tears and possibly snot (it was dark) I then made them get in the shower with me and we cuddled.
