Someone keeps complaining to me about how they need to loose weight and change their eating habits. I tried to help them at the start, but they're just complaining to complain and it makes me uncomfy. What can I say without coming off in a mean way?

Hmm… maybe something like “I know it’s frustrating and is a big change but I’d like to help you with this. It seems you’ve been a bit resistant/hesitant and I’m not sure how you’d like to approach this going forward. Would you still like support?”?

They simply don’t want to lose weight. If they wanted to lose they’d put in the effort. You can’t say you wanna eat healthy and lose weight, then you can’t just complain and eat terrible 😭 tell them to practice what they preach because progress starts once the excuses stop.

They should be accountable for their own journey and desires. Obviously if they’re just complaining and not doing anything to change it they’re lazy and undriven. Just let them be, u can’t force somebody to want something for themselves bad enough for them to act on it.
