I mean I’m anti exploitation of workers especially in the sex industry. The problem arises when a person tries to say that all porn, sex, and sex work is bad

Literally none of those things are why I voted yes. Sex is more so an act that should only be with someone who you trust with your body not necessarily have to be with someone you love. It’s not a wokewash to traditional values, or a psy-op. I’m pro-sex work and wish it could be legalized and regulated like it is in Nevada, it’s the oldest profession in the world.

Sex work is traditional. It has been in existence for thousands of years. It’s not about purity culture (although I do agree that women are being sold conservative values under the mask of it being progressive, just different stuff than we’re talking about here) but a big part of progressive views has been to stop the objectification of women and unfortunately porn and body count feed into that. Also the sacred thing can be answered personally. Like I don’t think it should be for others but it

Agreed. To me sex work is bad for two main reasons. It is often exploitative, and the demographic is WAY skewed to women producing and men viewing, which hints at something very unhealthy about the dynamic of men and women in society. And porn is bad bc again exploitative, and because people can’t respect boundaries around it in relationships, not bc viewing sexual content is inherently evil. Also bc it reaches kids way to young which is just not healthy for development

Porn like every adult vice is not bad in itself. It’s abused like every other adult vice: gambling, alcohol etc. Men may skew higher as porn addicts as women do to oniomania or eating disorders.
