i have mixed opinions on this. I do believe it would have been more… patriotic of our country to pick a singer who reflected a different style of music (no hate i just personally would have liked to see a cover of toby keith’s red white and blue for america 250) but shaming this guy is also wrong.. i don’t know much about him but im pretty sure he’s an american citizen, and even if he wasn’t at least he’s spreading a good message, even if we can’t understand him.

Also, most people don’t seem to understand this. The NFL is attempting to SIGNIFICANTLY tap into other markets that they have not yet which is also why Goodell wants more international games, of which there will be at least 9 next year from what Goodell has stated. This is why Jay-Z is the guy who decides who plays at half-time, his job is to help tap into other markets and make other populations more interested in American football internationally the way that futbol has done so successfully

actually this is a really interesting perspective that i didn’t know about!! it would definitely explain the different halftime performances we’ve been seeing. No hate on it at all, i actually think it’s really cool that we’re trying to get other cultures interested :)
