i want to marry my girlfriend (agnostic) but i'm upset because my family (very religious) won't approve. i'm going to marry her anyway, but does anyone have any advice on handling potential family disagreements?

honestly the only advice i can give you is tell them both to just keep to themselves about it. one of them might have to be the bigger person and just smile and nod whenever the other is talking about religion or lack there of.

my mom and dad are hardcore maga and my brother and his wife are like the most liberal people in the world. my parents CANNOT be reasoned with. they get so upset. so when they are talking about trump and how he’s “the greatest president in history” they just smile and nod
