Uncomfortable but not unmanageable. I was soooo scared getting it because all you see is horror stories about women passing out or throwing up. On the bright side, most women who had a good experience won’t go publicizing how easy it was. It hurts, but feels like a cramp that’s a little deeper in your stomach. Like right before you’re about to start your period. If you can go on your period, your cervix will already be a little dilated and gynos recommend it because it lessens pain.

Take a couple ibuprofen beforehand, prep a comfort food or pick one up on your way home, get on a nice set of pajamas with comfy underwear and throw on a good movie with a heating pad and take a nap. You might feel cramps for a day or two, but since getting mine in I’ve had no problems whatsoever. It was possibly the only smart thing I did at 18 lmao
