for the period part, possibly a combo of increased blood flow/sensitivity in that area alongside some hormonal fuckery (if you want specifics ur body usually releases progesterone right before ur period which suppresses ur estrogen/testosterone levels, it usually drips on ur period which can cause the former to surge again). as for ovulation pain, i mentioned it in another post but ur egg is basically sploding out ur ovary and can cause pain/bleeding in some. all of this is pretty normal

thank you for this information! it’s just, i see that it’s the most common for women to get really horny during ovulation, but it’s like i’m the opposite. i get really horny on my period, and during ovulation, me being horny is like nonexistent. and knowing that ovulation is the phase where we are fertile, that kinda makes me think there’s an imbalance somewhere. what do you think? do you think this can be fixed (if there is an imbalance)?

ur might still be in an average hormonal range, different bodies/endocrine systems can react to normal processes differently. best bet/first step is to find a good bc and see how it works. i was basically having 2 periods a month due to something similar and they put me on bc and it went away (sometimes still cramping during ovulation but nothing near as bad). ur probably gonna wanna look for progestin only bc (depo/minipill) i get migraines with auras so thats what i have to take anyways

but it’s still probably the right move (tho warning if you do plan on having kids it can take a min for everything to kick back in) i’ve been off it for a few months (moved and haven’t been back to an ob for refill) and the double bleeding hasn’t started again. after a few months on bc of it’s still causing problems then talk to ur dr. about getting ur hormone levels looked at
