in my opinion, i think that you’ve got to know what you do and don’t want out of a relationship and whether he can meet those needs without change. you can’t invest time and effort into someone and hope that they’ll use that to better themselves. They have to want that for themselves, and they have to figure it out on their own. You can be open to the possibility but seeing is believing, and if you don’t see the change then there’s no point investing your time back into that cycle
This is what he said: - He misses me more than he thought he would. He said he’s been so anxious about it and throwing up. - He said he’s keeps seeing photos of us and thinking that he wants to make more memories with me. - He said he loved every version of me. - We disagreed on politics and said I would be surprised how much his beliefs have changed. - He said he isn’t even able to think about anyone else (it’s only been a month).
(Pt 2) - He said he was too scared to fully commit (we were together for 2 years?). But I guess in terms of letting himself be fully open with his emotions to me. - Said he was scared I would go off and meet someone better, and that’s why he let things die out/didn’t put in as much effort as he could. - He said he would be better in the ways that mattered. - He also said (when we broke up) that I would have been easy to take advantage of, and that he was careful not to?
