Emotional mastery (means not being emotionally reactive and mature) you cry when you need to infront of your mom or bothers but not the people that depend on you. Physical strength. Selfless behavior. Able to provide. Secure in one’s self. Able to stand for what’s right regardless of the circumstances.

Because it’s an identity that people hold and put weight in. Being seen as a man is incredibly important to people who want to identify and be recognized as being men. So I guess that’s why is should mean something and why it’s important
